Wesley Woods is deepening its commitment to residents living with dementia by launching Masterful Moments, an educational program created by CaraVita Home Care. This program is designed to transform dementia care by fostering empathy, understanding, and meaningful connections.

Supported by generous donor contributions, the program equips staff with hands-on training and practical tools to respond compassionately and confidently in every interaction.

More than a training, Masterful Moments represents a cultural shift—reimagining what life can look like for residents with dementia. A key feature is the Virtual Dementia Tour, an immersive experience that simulates the cognitive and emotional challenges of dementia and offers new perspectives on communication and behavior.

Wesley Woods of Newnan is the first community to fully implement the program. Early results in the memory care neighborhood show residents are more engaged and content, while staff report increased confidence and empathy. Wesley Woods is committed to expanding Masterful Moments across all communities, ensuring every resident—regardless of cognitive challenges—experiences dignity, connection, and joy.
